The Force is strong with Apple’s new Star Wars radio station

Impressive, iTunes. Most impressive.

Apple’s launched a new iTunes radio station dedicated to music from the Star Wars series. It’s running through a playlist of John Williams’s score from all three movies, and also three other totally unrelated movies that are probably not Star Wars movies, because there are only three, right? (I’m not sure if it contains any tracks from The Force Awakens, but none have yet showed up in my listening.) Interspersed every once in a while are short sound effect snippets–when I started the stream, for example, it played a few seconds of Darth Vader’s asthmatic breathing.

Anyway, if you’re looking to get even more in the mood, you could do worse than immerse yourself in this playlist over the next day or so.¹ Just open up iTunes on your Mac or Music on your iOS device, hit the Radio tab, scroll down to Featured Stations, and hit Play.
